NUS Central Library Shelter
Located at the heart of the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Central Library stands out as the university’s focal connectivity point, where many students wait for their shuttle bus to take them around campus.
Bestal’s Louvre Mesh was selected to shelter the main bus stop and walkway. Louvre Mesh shields students from heavy rain and harsh sunlight, yet still allows for ample ventilation and light to leak through. Expanded metal, which can be used as both rain screens and sun screens, also protect and extend the life of claddings, reducing the need for maintenance in the long-term.
